![]() +4-5 quickness, +8-12 bleed saves, +75% chance itchy skin doesn't develop into fungal infections Ingredients: 1pickled mushrooms, 1 starapple gam, 1 dram cider Mulled Mushroom Cider: learned through water ritual from the kyakukya villagers I was able to finish the Golgotha quest at level 8 because of a lucky roll with carbide chef. This makes you basically invincible, making it very good for exploring dangerous places like the deeper caves. This essentially gives you 2 activated abilities: phasing as a temporary mutation, and teleportation whenever you huff mushroom. My favorite recipe involves yondercane/voider gland, phase silk/shade oil, and pickled mushroom (I don't like fungal infection). You can only combine it with 1 effect at a time, so I usually pick tp, but emp is great for slamming on the game's stronger robots. You can add it with elemental ingredients to drop pyrokinesis or cryokinesis any time you want. ![]() You can add it with spark tick scuta to emp on demand. You can add it with voider glands or yondercane to teleport on demand. Combining it with the hulk honey you mentioned can give +8 strength whenever you eat a mushroom, though I don't think it stacks. Plump mushrooms and luminous hoarshrooms are good for getting a conditional effect, since they yield a large amount of preserved ingredients each (10 for the former and 8 for the latter) and are often abundant (former sold by Mafeo and the many mushroom gatherers, the latter infinitely available with glowcrust fungal infection). So if you can manage to get a ton of canned have it all, and manage to roll one of the above recipes. 25% chance of all stats increase (drop of nectar).Simple cooking cheese: Canned Have it all can roll any cooking effect in the game except cloning draught and neutron flux, including: There are other triggers besides drinking water like taking damage (spine fruit). With bananas for example, you can roll "identify all artifacts on the floor at 25% chance when drinking water". This will come along with 100% cold resist, meaning Rimewyks can't freezelock you.Įffect triggers: Example - combining vinewafers with things like voider glands or things that give beguiling (congealed love) or fire stuff (lava, dawnglider meat) or burgeoning (grave moss) allows you to semireliably trigger an effect repeatedly to alter a map. Important for Bethesda Susa: harvest convalessence from the Stilt or from the pools at the early floors and burn inspiration until you can get a recipe with freezing breath. Note: I'll be coming back here to add more recipes when I have time, I'm not done! What are your favourite ingredients/recipes and why? exploits (I don't intend on using them, I just find them interesting, they would make the game boring for me) ways to make an otherwise scarce resource abundant I guess I'm looking for ways to use cooking that fulfill one or more of the following: This seems like a steal for almost any character. So assuming you get the skill tree and harvestry tree free, the remaining skills (butchery, spicer, carbide chef) cost 200sp and require 17 int. +you can get butchery through water ritual from cannibals or goatfolk, but unless you happen to have good relations with this faction it's probably not worth waiting for the opportunity +you can get the cooking and gathering skill through water ritual in Kyakukya +you can get harvestry through water ritual in joppa I might ask for clarification later if I still feel like I haven't fully grasped how the cooking system works. ![]() The wiki I'm reading seems a bit convoluted? My ADD-addled brain can't make sense of it. The stat requirements for the whole tree is 17 int, which means any time you get tinkering you can probably get cooking too. If you want to see me learn to play the game from the very start and several attempts with different builds, I have a full Let's Play of the game as well, which is linked below.I haven't done much cooking and so don't really know my way around it, but it seems like something that most characters can use to vastly increase utility and perhaps smooth out the weak periods in their build, with a relatively small investment of sp. In this first episode, I cover Joppa and how to play the game outside of combat to help ease players into this deep but rewarding title. This 2022 Beginner's Guide to Caves of Qud aims to help completely new and/or beginning players of this amazing Sci-Fi roguelike learn how to properly start out, explain the systems of the game, the interface, many key commands, how to use and understand character skills and powers, how to manage your inventory, how to talk to NPCs and accept quests, and how to navigate the map, among other foundational aspects of a brand new Qud game.
